Recruiting Coordinator Tight Ends Coach
Ryan Hearn
Ryan Hearn enters his fifth year on the Bulldogs staff and second as recruiting coordinator. Hearn came to The Citadel after serving as a graduate assistant for coach Jim Leavitt at the University of South Florida.

A three-year letterman for USF, Hearn earned his bachelor’s degree in 2003, graduating and joining the coaching staff. Following his playing career, he worked with the defensive staff during the 2003 season and spent 2004 with the offense while earning his master’s degree.

As a player at South Florida, Hearn was tabbed as team captain during his senior season in 2002. Immediately after his collegiate playing days came to an end, Hearn spent one season playing in the Arena Football League, spending time as a valued member of the Orlando Predators and the Tampa Bay Storm.

A graduate of Belleview High School in Ocala, Fla., Hearn was a Class 4A All-State free safety as a sophomore in 1995. He earned All-County in each of his three varsity seasons.

Hearn is originally from Gainesville, Fla.
